Title: HDRA Beans
Post by: Tin Shed on February 09, 2008, 17:55:14
Went to a seed swap today and picked up to varieties of climbing french beans, both labelled as coming from HDRA. One is Extra Hatif de Juilliet and the other is ?Siglnde/Siglinde No 1{can't read the writing}.
Please can anyone help to identify the second variety and has anyone grown either of them?

:) Tin Shed & Saddad Extra Hatif de Julliet is in this years cat under seed swap 2008( page 50)

I got the seed last year from HSL and almost lost all my plants due to flooding, then slugs and snails :(

3 plants survived and I let them all go to seed, will grow them again this year and hopefully get to taste them ;)/ shades x

Yes! It must be Siglinde - and it looks really good. Looking forward to trying them both - hope you have better luck this year, angle shades.
Many thanks!
