There are frogs in the pond - is this not too early?

No, not when the weather's this warm. I've seen them in ponds which were rimmed with ice. They come to no harm.

I was excited to find a huge splodge of frogspawn on my pond a couple of days ago. My pond is in the middle of a largish paved area so I always thought that it wouldn't attract much in the way of wildlife. Now I know that at least two frogs have found it  ;D. I only hope it is not too soon. We don't get many real frosts here in the southwest - so here's hoping that there will eventually be lots of taddies and that my goldfish leave a few to develop into froglets!
