I heard on the radio that schools in Shropshire on half a day in anticipation of snow this afternoon. So has it arrived there yet, and what do you think good planning or an excuse for an afternoon off?? :o
I am working on a proposal that I have Oct/Nov off later this year in anticipation of severe weather during winter - do I have a chance :-\
Sun shining here in Powys, just a few miles across the border from Shropshire. ;D
Blue sky and sunshine here in Cambridgeshire BUT really strong wind blowing.
South Cheshire here - a stone's throw away from the Shropsire & Staffs borders - bright and blowing a hoolie, although it may be worse weather on the moors & open land.
Wish I'd done a big wash first thing looking out now.
HI 5 ROD HERE

I would go for the month of Nov & Feb only :)
I left work at 4.30 in Birmingham just as it started a blizzard. This lasted for about 30 minutes - and all quiet now. But we did have a fence panel blow down.
hopefully it won't snow tonight as its Rytons Potato Day tomorrow, and all though I am not far I don't live on a main road!
Cam - Nov and Feb sound good to me, possibly with June in case of sunstroke ;D
Not settled here Suzanne but hopefully me and DebP will be going in the morning!
;D
It is white all over. Hope there is more tomorrow: snowball fights with the kids. I am only doing the father thing for them. Wouldn't want to disappoint now would I.....
Not a sign of it all day in Worcester, but a slight sprinkling appeared as the train approached Smethwick on the way home.
First flutterings here this morning but not settling as the sun keeps coming out.
had some last night - still laying on the ground - but nothing further today - yet!!!!
It' still snowing in my part of Edinburgh but not with any real conviction!
Not a sniffter here. ;D ;D ;D
still not snowing here BUT i have an ice headache which i usualy het when it snows.
How can you tell it is an ice headache, Cambourne? It sounds intriguing, but obviously not for the person having it!
Have had flurries of snow off and on today but now its slowly disappearing. Sick of the sight of the stuff now. Its still behind the dykes, so probably more will come this winter. We had quite a bit of snow in the village yesterday but 2 miles down the road, no snow. Was strange. 4 miles to the east of the village lots and lots of snow. Roll on spring.
::)

Its a family thing all the women in my mothers side have the ability to tell if its going to snow, thunder etc.
Mines not working still no snow which means i must be comming down with somthing.
Cam
I get them too Cam, so I know how it is. Usually, as you say with low pressure. ;)
Thanks for the info, Cambourne and Star - I had never heard of that type of headache before.
