Title: Pink furry things.
Post by: Plot69 on January 31, 2008, 13:48:46
Just boxed up all my seed taters to chit.

Used the old fashioned type fruit boxes as I didn't have any egg trays.

Desiree, not a problem. Charlotte, no trouble...

Getting Pink Fur Apples to stand up straight, what a nightmare! :)

Just hope I don't do any "Triple toe Lutzes" or "Double Slaco's" carrying them to the greenhouse.

Can't say I'd bother either. I only chit the earlies & that's just to make me feel like I'm doing something... It's been said before, but can you imagine farmers going out with 40 tonnes of spuds & standing them all on end?!?!

Only grown for two years but chitted both times in egg boxes.  They don't usually produce very long shoots
