Hi!
Does anyone know where I can get a read of the Allotments Act 1922. I have to abide by it but can find it nowhere!
Many Thanks.
Nico
Both the English & Scottish Allotments Act 1922 are available HERE (http://www.statutelaw.gov.uk/SearchResults.aspx?TYPE=QS&Title=allotments&Year=1922&Number=&LegType=All+Legislation).
hiya, nico..hope you found what you're looking for :)
The 1922 Act was amended by the 1950 one.
Parliament does that.
It's a democracy, you know..
Can we ask why?
BTW that's the Royal 'we' (we're a nosey lot on here). ;D
Whatever power clique (AKA government) was in at the time felt like it. That's democracy, we elect MP's, then some of them get appointed to kick the rest about.
amendments can be read

Hi,
It's Nico!
I have just signed a tennancy for an allotment and have agreed to abide by section 22 of the 1922 allotments act concerning the definition of an allotment garden. So I wanted to find out what section 22 actually says. Can't find out what the legal definition of a vegetable is though. I think i'll just grow what I want as long as I can consume it!
Oh, and thank you for all your help and interest. I now have the wording of the ACT.
Warmest,
Nico
