Title: Missing members?
Post by: lorna on January 28, 2008, 17:58:10
I have just had a nosy through rogues gallery to have a look at new members. Has anyone heard from Shirlton? I think her last post was October time although I think she has had a look in since then. Hope all is well with her and Tony.

That goes for many. They get other demands/interests, less time, bored/disenchanted .........?

Shame - but the 'newbies' still come into a great site for a bit of 'chumminess' - & help??

All my members are  still here. They don't all work as they should but..
Actually saw John Miller on yesterday. Now he was the squash expert, since he grew them for a living!

I never got to the bottom of the "night of the long knives" when, while I was away on hols, a whole bunch of members disappeared and it all became secret squirrelish even to ask what had happened.. not that anyone ever told me.. That knock on the door.. it hasn't come yet..

They were happily planting their cut price fruit trees from Lidl when I went past them on Saturday.

emma is fine, sparkly as ever. unfortunaltely she had to give up her plot after a slight disagreemant with the committee.  a real shame and i think she was quite upset about it. she has moved house and started a new job and is still computerless, but very well and sends her love.  ;) i will pass on your good wishes to her.

And does anyone know what became of Wahaj? A4A Next Top Model (see his picture in the gallery).
His last post was about moving to another part of the country. But that was about a year ago.

Some people flit in all of a flurry, post like billio and then move on. Maybe he's posting like billio somewhere else, or perhaps he's got another all consuming hobby.

Sometimes it's just work. I remember when I started my current job, I didn't post for months - just too busy! (Not that I'm not now, if boss looking over shoulder...ahem) :P

Well folks. Here I am again. Nice to think that I was missed. A some of you know Tony and I care for me mom and this is proving to be more and more time consuming. Not only that but I didn't want to come on here and moan to you lot about my problems. Now that the better weather is around the corner we will at least be able to sit her up the allotment while we work. It's still a bit cold at the moment. We have to make the most of the time she goes to the day center to get the jobs done.I wouldn't like folks to think that we were a flash in the pan. Its just that sometimes things have to take priority over others.

Hi Lorna, well this Emma is still fit and well.  The hernia is all healed, altho I do still get a little ache from it when I work hard.  Still working almost full time and trying to fit in the family, allotment and my own garden.  Life goes on a pace, I will meet myself coming back one of these days.

Yes KP is now back in Glasgow. KP did get a plot some time ago but as mentioned she has been down south for quite a while. Heard from her this evening, she has got a horrible cold/flu at moment.

Hi Emma-Jane glad to hear from you.
