I picked 4 stems - they were just so beautifully pink and tasted WONDERFUL!

Fabulous!  Earliest I have had them ever!

When you you expect to see your first rhubarb?

I planted it for the first time last year and had an amazing show, I was so tempted to cut it but read on here that it was best left uncut for the first year, but already its pushing through so I am expecting my first crop shortly, is that usual?

There is a thread further down 'The plots this morning' and frogslegs posted a pic of their rhubarb yesterday which looks similar to mine so I guess I am doing something right jessands and we should see something shooting up now?

Or maybe it depends on variety? Who knows, I am a rhubarb virgin  :D
