Title: The kitchen garden
Post by: ina on July 09, 2004, 15:43:49
Here you can see what we did with the hay after we removed it from the strawberry patch. It makes great paths.
That ugly plastic thing across from the greenhouse is the experimental tomato cage. The fencing I find ugly too but the rabbits made us do it.
The picture is taken from the edge of the flower part.

On the right side front to back is french beans, strawberry patch, runner beans, blueberry bushes and blackberry bushes (the dark foliage at the end of the path), further to the right (not visible) are courgettes and the melon tunnel.
On the left is the salad garden, beetroot, swiss chard, carrots, wit loof, green loof, purslain, a bed waiting for the leeks to be planted and some herbs, behind the greenhouse is the corn and past the greenhouse more french beans and lettuce.
I'm sure I forgot something hahaha.
No onions this year, too much trouble with white rot and nothing in the brassica family either due to clubroot problems.
