Title: Adding spirits to jam
Post by: davee52uk on January 23, 2008, 21:12:23
I have tried adding whisky to jam this year. I know some would say it's a waste of whisky but plum jam with whisky in it is fantastic!

Has anybody else tried this? I just poured some whisky on the top of the cold, set jam in the jar and let it soak over a few weeks. Is there a better way of doing this?

Anybody tried vodka and rum?

I have not tried this but the local stores were full of these over Christmas (including honey with whiskey added) and they are very nice.
