What did I do to deserve this, they took me from my home yesterday, they invaded my privacy and poked in my fur, they gasped at what they saw, then look,
PS They now call be baby and Molly.
New addition to the family Jeannine? Almost cute enough to tempt me .. but I'd be silly if I did - I'm allergic to them and my brother is seriously allergic to them. So until I win the lottery and have a big rambling farmhouse somewhere in the French countryside with a wild garden for cats to romp in, I'll just need to content myself with my 2 cocker spaniels.
thats the cutest wet cat i,ve seen since my old kitten fell in the water tank in the roof. which reminds me; always make sure your water tanks are covered. they look so forlorn dont they. she looks lovely and fluffy now though jeannine.
she looks very happy wrapped in that towel ;D
She is so cute. ;D
AaaWwww..........she's lovely Jeanine, she will give you so much pleasure :D
Awww jeannine she's so cute! Must have a nice temperament too to let you put her in water! She's a smasher x
She is a little brat, she has been here 2 days and she thinks she is the boss of the world, she had John twisted round her little finger, the other two cats have scattered and she is sitting the other side of the baby gate just daring the three Pekes to take her on. XX Jeannine
Aren't cats just wonderful!!!!
What a little sweetie. Did you 'rescue' her Jeannine?
Yeah, I have to admit I did, not a good place and was told she was being got rid of on Saturday .We had good reason to think got rid of meant being dumped in the bush, she is only 4 1/2 weeks old but we had to pick her up on the Friday,(bad situation in the house) She is doing well though and John has got here eating very well in two days, kitty milk and other good stuff, and she is eating like mad, she has slept on my bed in a little jacket to keep cosy so all is well with her.I wasn't happy bathing her but we really had no choice. She was one of two , we went to get both but was told there was only one left!! We didn't intend to keep her and that is still the plan... but I am not taking bets on it.
She is kinda sweet.
XX Jeannine
she's beautiful - I love the pic of her wrapped in the towel, what a sweetie :)
She's gorgeous, Jeannine - and so lucky to have you and John to care for her.
(And I bet you keep her!!!!! ;) ;) ;))

If i was that cute i'd expect to be boss of the whole world too ;)
I bet you anything you keep her... :P
Ahh the old saying...*Dogs have owners, cats have SERVANTS* ::)
She is now sleeping through the night..on my pillowXX Jeannine
little minx!! (the kitten that is) ;)
Mission accomplished - she's made her decision very clear and she's staying.
Oh and I forgot it seems her brother is coming too now,I thought it had a hoem...not
oh no, double trouble!! she is a beauty, reminds me of my moppet, he is 15 in may bless him!!
Oh, how cute - good thing you can't pop them in the post - otherwise I'd say "send her over here!" :)
Looks like you found a new friend, Jeannine, it's hard to resist a kitten's allure, isn't it? When we kept cats (or should I say, when they chose us) I really don't know how we managed to stop at three, there are so many that deserve a home.
Our Westie dogs are both rescue dogs, of a sort.
Toby was from a broken home :-[. His owners were divorcing, they both worked and were unable to continue looking after him, so he was offered free to good home in the local paper. His pedigree is truly astonishing, with three Crufts best of breed winners in his bloodline.
Tillie had been less fortunate. Bought by an addict to breed for drug money, she had hardly seen the outside world, save a visit to the stud dog, and was taken off him by my sister in law.
She was pregnant at the time and since sister in law is not slow on the uptake we were offered her at £200, and were to take her when she had weaned the pups.
When the pups arrived they were BLACK! Turns out that in a rare moment of freedom she had a liaison with the pedigree Pomeranian from next door. Thinking that there was now no potential earnings from the pups, they were destined for a watery grave, so I made a mad dash up the A19 and brought mother and puppies home.
Tillie was filthy, skinny and smelt like a tramp. She didn't look like a Westie at all, and it took two washes to get her clean. She was a brilliant mother though, and eventually, three fabulous puppies were found three fabulous new homes.

Tillie (left) and Toby, waiting for leftovers. Toby is SO under the thumb.

I tried and couldn't write the word.. suffice to say Mum didn't wear a ring.
:)bless you Rob x
You are the kind of people who make me proud to be part of the human race...........unlike the unforgiveable ***** who had those 2 lovely westies before you.
;) Fair play guys, they are a real credit to you.......
Thanks for the lovely comments everyone. The dogs are the real reward though, they're scampering around behind me right now, any minute and I'll get a paw on the leg to remind me about morning walkies. :D
Hello,
I am new to the forum, could not resist sending you pics of our rescue border collie jill and west highland terrier Belle.Sadly the elderly owner of jill could no longer care for her.Belle is a really cheeky scamp.
Jill loves visting the allotment and digs lots of "useful"holes for me!
Toby wants Belle's number, says she's a sweetie. ;) Jill seems to have her paws well under the table, nice to see that she's so settled. Good on you. ;D
hiya, betula..nice to meet you, your friends look very comfortable :)
Welcome Betula,as a collie owner myself I just know you either all sit on the floor or she sits on someone! ;D
Just an update , Fleabags( Molly) brother arrived yesterday, I was told when I went to get him a few weeks ago they were keeping him, yesterday I did a school home visit to find he was living rough outside. He has just been through the bath treatment. He has a beautiful smoke cat that looks black till you blow on it, with white patches. He is a real lovey too, not like his sister who is a brat.
Of course they are both staying.
New baby boy is called Rupert
XX Jeannine
I will post pictures
Lucky, lucky cat ;)
