Title: Back from a year of DIY
Post by: PlotSurfer on January 19, 2008, 14:40:03
Hello!

I used to be quite an active member of this forum but I've been busy renovating an old house for the past year.

Becasue of this I've only been able to do the bare minimum to my allotment in order to make sure the council dont take it off me!

But now I've nearly finished the house I can get back outside! Woo hoo

Any time saving tips to get my beloved, but neglected, patch of land back to full working order??

Welcome back, PS. Did you keep it covered while you were "away"? Not much any of us can do in this weather!

Thanks for the speedy response!

I covered half of it with black polythene - but that still leaves the other half submerged under huge puddles!

I know what you mean about the weather! Stop raining!!!

Welcome back, PS. I see you have a new avator!
Sounds like your ground is holding water. Thought about a few raised beds?

Hmmm...

I've never really thought of that.

My plot often does get water logged.

I guess all I need are a few old railway sleepers.
