we went to b&q today and found they are selling off daff bulds tulips and many others very cheap 1/4 the marked price i grab loads of alliums the giant ones 25 for £1.96
Will go look see tomorrow. Hope I am not too late. I often buy reduced bulbs and put them in the cheap pots from Morrisons. This way they are not taking up my main growing areas and when placed behind low walls and things give a good show. Thank you.
My sister gave me two packs of daffodils that she got from homebase for free, apparently they were giving them all away free due to the time of year.
Went to our local B & B yesterday and the staff were useless. No daffs and they didn't remember seeing any. The shop seemed to be going down the nick but I've read that they are having a bad time (I.e. Kindfisher).
I did buy a half price Amaryllis, not cheap but came with good quality ceramic pot and coir compost in solid blocks ^*+>(*+ What a mess. It said to soak the block for one minute and then put in bowl and around bulb. No mention that it needed sieving to get rid of fluid.What a mess or maybe stupid me??
