Hands up anyone who fancies taking part in this pass the parcel - since most of us can only dream of jetting off somewhere fab at this time of year, why not let our seeds do it for us!
The idea is to include seeds with place names, like California Wonder peppers, or Russian Giant sunflowers, or even named types, such as French Beans (regardless of variety). Doesn't have to be a country, can be a town, or even a region (such as Tomato Sub-Arctic Plenty).
Anyone interested, PM me - in under 80 days, please!
;D
Not sure what I have got that would cover the topic but hey I am in ;D
have PM'd you

gives me an excuse to riffle through my seeds again ;D
Well Done Amazin XX Jeannine
You're welcome (I'm blushing now). Hey, does that count? Camden Beetroot!
I think I should widen this to include people's own saved seed, so long as they label it with their location of growing (e.g. PSB Early - Cotswold strain!)
Hi Amazin,
I would love to take part
Regards
Ann
No probs PS, can you PM me your details?
I've never done a sed swop before but would love to join in.
I will PM my details.
Thanks
Helen
I have lots of seeds with place names and would love to take part. Have pm'd you.
Okay folks, I've closed the list and am preparing the seeds for postage - looks like it might need something between A5 and A4 size so I may have to improvise. I'll get back to you all at a more respectable hour with the final details.
I'm SO looking forward to this (big kid, really) - hope you are too.
;D
Okay folks, passengers now boarding at gate A4A are :
Blue Bird
bupster
elsie
norfolklass
purple sprouting
Riffster
ruud
Suzanne
Tinkie_Bear
Toms Lottie
As you can see, the passenger list is in alphabetical order - this is not the order for the post list though, just to keep you guessing (evil, I know).
Please let us all know on this thread when the parcel arrives and departs your particular shores, and give us a nice cryptic clue as to where it's headed next.
The first port of call is: One of Singalonga Max's favourite springtime destinations!
Right then, bottle suitably smashed against the side, hankies fluttering in the breeze, and OFF WE GO!
Let the bird loose,no hunting him down ;D ;D ;D
You missed me off XX Jeannine
Have no fear Jeannine - have PMd you!
Am i to late ????
I always seam to be 2 steps behind everyone else :-\
I'm afraid the boat has already set sail... but as this is a relatively small cruise, it may well go round again - after a quick return home for a refit, of course!
;D
Hi Everybody,
I have no idea where the ship is or when it will get to me but to speed up the visit I have prepared all the stores I wish to put onboard but I have a quick question. With all the vegetable seeds I have parceled up a few flower seeds, some are edible and some are just pretty but no doubt the creatures will like them. Are these OK to go in or not? I have never done a seed swap before so I am unsure of the rules.
Please advise, Bon Voyage :-)
Helen
We'll take all passengers, no probs. The original parcel includes fruit, veg, herbs and flowers. The only requirement is they must all have place names in the titles. :)
Just had a moment of panic and thought I'd better look to see what seeds I had. Turned out I've 250 packets in total so I'm probably OK! :P
Blimey - we'd better hire a tug!
;D
Mmm well I remember going to the quaint seaside village of White Scallop, just near Papa de Rola I believe. Aah reminiscing.. the times we had scaling Grando Violetta and coming home through Time Out of Mind to the cottage in Parella Rossa.
XX Jeannine
QuoteI remember going to the quaint seaside village of White Scallop
Did you manage to spot the famous mermaid, Marina de Chioggia?
;D
I heard she bumped into some sailors with some Purple Podded Poles and got her comeupance. Not nice you know, they had Double Standards those lads, very fond of their Sweet Mama I heard, shame one of them married a Lazy Housewife XX Jeannine
Ship has crossed the pond today, found it drop anchor.

Big steamship has arrived, all passengers checked in.Next clue we are steaming up streams to a city famous for his birds.

I haven't acquainted myself with any of the passengers yet, I'm waiting til I get home tonight (people at work just don't understand ::)) so will post an update tomorrow
(ruud: you may have to explain your clue! I guess jeannine was along the right lines with her thinking, and I've only just understood the family name bit (Murray = river in Oz, ray = fish) but orange bird?!? ooh, do you mean a Canary???
very impressed, will have to get my thinking cap on!!! ;D)
I am glad the ship arrived well in norwich.your family-name or surename is murray. The mighty murray river down under.mur ray is a very flat fish.City famous for his birds-----norwich canary.Ballgame---tennisplayer murray. So i hope i have explained it for everybody.
Ha Ha, I hope these clues don't get as weird or complicated as on 3,2,1 Dusty Bin Era with Ted Rogers ;D ;D ;D
Some of his clues he used I use to find myself saying
*What-The-H*ll-Is-He-On*, they made no sense at all ::) ::) ::)

;D
I exhausted my brain cell on the last one!
I'm desperate to know where it's going to - has anybody got the parcel yet?

and I do live in a University town, but I don't think this is me LOL
XX Jeannine

Latin for thousand is M so could it be a motorway?
Elsie is right, and good clue Bupster. The Ship has docked in land locked Surrey.

So which is the next port of call Riffster?
It has left "the good life" here at 1000 roads. Its not going far. Now, lets see....

My round the world stuff is jumping up and down in the box, all sorted and ready to go, so come on over here Mr Steamship you only need to stop here for a couple of hours.
XX Jeannine
If it is me that it's coming to it should only be a brief stop over, the new passengers are ready and waiting to board, there trouble may be deciding which passengers are allowed through customs :-) Ohhhh if it gets to me before the weekend I can have all weekend to sort out passports etc. and then I can let them sail off on Monday. Ohhhhhhhhh :-)
Take it easy gal, you will come down with fever on the brain if you are not careful
Calm down, calm down, calm down!
Oh alright, I will. This is better than christmas :-0
