Title: Tarbais beans
Post by: Jeannine on December 29, 2007, 13:24:22
Does anyone have any please, I lost my last few in the floods, I do have a source to buy them but it is a bean shop overseas and  I have to buy at least a pound and with postage it will really amount to a lot.

Second option, anyone want to go in with me  and share costs if I go for the pound.

No the supplier I have is in the US, they sell them by the pound for $15 which is about £7, I am waiting to hear if I can buy less from them as they have several beans I would like but they all come in pounds, most are about £4.50 but the others are particularly expensive, I will let you know, either way I will get them, I don't mind the amount but the postage will be terrible if I buy several pounds of beans !! They also have Giganteus. XX Jeannine

If you are ordering from Baumaux, it will prob be worth your while seeing if there is anything else you want from there, as the postage will be the same.

Hi Granny, how are you all doing!!

I still have your catalogue by the way, do you want me to post it back?

The company in the US is still considering wether they will send me a lesser amount, I think they might.

I think I might give the French company a phone call tomorrow as I have a couple of questions.

Hope Mum, baby and you are doing well, do you feel different ??

Hello, Jeannine,

dont worry if you havent finished with the catalogue yet. I wonder if I am on their mailing list, and will be sent the new one. Here's hoping.

Mum and baby doing well. Ieuans lungs are functioning perfectly. We rung earlier, and Naomi had driven them to Asda for dinner! I suppose if she is feeling up for it so soon it is ok.

Let me know if you are going to order from Baumaux, as there are a few things I fancy. It makes much more sense to share postage.

Oh, and no I dont feel any different, but Phil did work out that when Ieuan is 23, he will be 70. Speeds life up a bit when you look at it like that!!!!!!!!

I have just seen the picture, he is smashing and so alert, he looks so squeezable.

I wll go through the catalogue over the next day or so and then mail it back, I have tried going on the site for one but it never accepts me and my French is lousy anyway.

The company that I am trying to get the beans through usually sells in 1 pound packages, most of there beans are about $4-$5 a pound, thesee ones are $15. They have several that I would like but I am not buying a pound of many. They have told me they will consider shipping smaller amounts, I guess they are not there over the weekend so it might be a few days till I hear.

If not I will go the French route.

Take care of that wonderful squidgy, my turn soon , just 5 weeks to goXX Jeannine

Carolinej + Jeannine,

if either of you guys plan on placing an order with Baumaux please let me know, I would like to order a few items and happily share the postage.

I did not get a copy of their catalogue last season, tried twice.
Few days ago applied again so maybe (fingers crossed) will get a copy of the 2008 version

The application 'hung up' on post code so I entered 12345 and this was accepted, we shall see ..............

Cheers

Mikey
