Title: RE 20Q again. unable to reply on original thread
Post by: lorna on December 27, 2007, 16:10:42
For some reason I haven't got the reply button on the 20Q thread (hence new post)
Georgie sounds like the same.
Debster Let me know if you beat it :)
Manic, daughter Alyson said she nearly threw it through the window. we all roared with laughter as Alyson wouldn't disclose what she was thinking of, she swore it could hear what you were saying ;D
John felt sure he could beat it, some weird insect that I had never heard of, crikey it came so near, said insect, similar to a grasshopper!!
I have got to have one :)

They've sold out in Guildford Argos! I tried the online one & beat it several times in a row. Damon Albarn, table tennis ball, sunflower (I say you can eat them!), Tain - place in Scotland from where I hail! Is the online one easier?

I've just tried the online one too http://www.20q.net/ (http://www.20q.net/) .  I used "parsnip" and it took 22 questions for it to get there, so maybe it is easier.  Having said that, it claimed I didn't answer one of the questions correctly!   Huh!  :-[

It does say though that you aren't supposed to use names and place names.

That's because it doesn't know what a Malteser is! Took over 30 questions before giving up.

Not surprising really - for all it offers the choice of 'thinking' languages, I still got suggestions of 'tootsie rolls' and various types of 'cookie'. No doubt a proper British way of thinking would include such sweets as a significant - nay, vital, part of our culture!

;D ;D ;D

I've just tried the on-line version and beat it three times in a row with drumstick, thimble and magpie.  On each occasion it complained that other players had classified these items as 'other' as opposed to animal, vegetable or mineral.   :o  What on earth is 'other'?

It's the option for people who don't know but don't want to admit it!

Georgie. You have got me thinking. Wonder if the on-line one is easier to beat? Can't be that my family are all dimwits as there are only  3 options for answers....yes...no or sometimes. Won't tell you what one "naughty" member thought of but it came up with the answer as gas :)
