I will be given a glass of Port, a nice dinner and a pair of slippers....again.!
Do you know or did you correctly guess your pressy?
Yes I thought I would receive nothing & that is exactly what I got for christmas.

Yep, never fails, John always buys me Cherished Teddies and gives me a card he has forgotten to write on,bless him, but I love him to bits!! XX Jeannine
I got some great presents, some that were on my Santa list, but others came as a fantastic surprise. One of my best ones I got from my OH was a cherry red pair of DM's, and I am absolutely thrilled with them! :D I got a great book off my sister called "knitted gardens", love that too! Fantastic year, and so grateful for once again having a lovely Christmas Daywith my family. All my love and peace and joy to everyone. Love busy_lizzie x
I didn't get any slippers this year :'(
::)
Got a tie and some other bits... Got World at War on DVD 36hrs, so if I'm not around that might be why!
;D
Well I really did get surprises this year.
Grandson Craig (13) saved his pocket money and bought me lovely "smellies" He wanted to give me something just from him. Bless him.
Lorna and Josh (Lorna had already bought my new glasses) bought me a perfume that I love, plus 3 DVD's that I wanted. Il Divo, Leona Lewis, and Whitney Houston. Sharon Osbourne's book Survivor. New slippers. Loads of wild bird seed and "sausage" treats for dog Elsa :). Plus odds and ends. Joshua's Dad bought me some smellies and some AGE protection body wash, do you think he was trying to tell me something??
Daughter Alyson and family (Craig's Mum) bought me some nice things from M & S plus a lovely perfume and odds and ends, including more smellies.
Son John & Donna bought me some really nice new bed linen, slippers, also £50 to treat myself .
Daughter Vickie & Co bought me a new anorak coat and a nice new top.
Great Grandaughter (8months) bought me an attractive dish to put the pot pourri in, including some Red Rose pot pourri.
So lots of surprises this year.
Now going back round next door to help get tea ready for when more family arrive.
Unfortunately just as dinner was being dished up Joshua had one of his sick migraine's, no doubt all the excitement and the fact he woke at 4.30am although he went back to bed for a while. Had a lay down in a dark room and is now fighting fit again.
Lorna.
Sounds as though you are having a fab time Lorna, with lots of nice pressies. You have a great family, and they obviously dote on you. Hope Joshua's migraine is well and truly gone. love, busy_lizzie
Voucher for Hilliers from my 97 year old father-in-law ;) my partner and i decided on no presents.
Kenkew, what you have to do is continue to wear the old slippers until you get to mid October. Then when you next go to the in-laws take this years new slippers and wear them making sure you say you bought them the week before. Next prepare a list of seeds you will need for the following year and leave it at the in-laws (stuff it in father-in-laws chair but in sight). Make a fuss of missing it and then sit back.
Make sure the rest of the family say nothing about it.

Just adding to my previous post. Poor Joshua brightened up but was then very sick,
he went to bed at 7pm and didn't wake until 7.30am this morning. Apart from openig his presents he missed Christmas day, however, he is full of beans this morning so he will be OK for next family get together. He was starving this morning, all he had yesterday was 1 sausage roll!!

marg
I had Garden Tokens and M&S vouchers, a lovely apron that I spotted in Hillier Gardens Gift Shop and a bird feeder.
I also received over the festive season.............
wait for it.............................
ten boxes of sweets and chocolates. I have chocolate covered apricots, ginger chocs, rum and raisin fudge, Terry's All Gold, 3 boxes of Elizabeth Shaw mint chocs, chocolate covered Turkish Delight, pistachio, hazelnut, rose and lemon Turkish Delight and a box of Thornton's assorted chocs! I have already put on 10lbs this month and I shall probably put on more. Not good when I am already 5 stones over what my weight should be for someone of my height. Guess who will be going on a diet in 2008?
I've managed to eat half a TERRY'S DARK CHOCOLATE ORANGE... I know it doesn't sound much but it is a great step forward!!
;D
Parsnip seeds! I'm really pleased - can't get them here very easily!
Some raspberry balsamic vinaigrette - yum -
...
and a pair of much-needed slippers!!!!!
Pauline should you need any help with the 10 boxes of chocs just give a shout. I can't believe your last remark.. 5 stone overweight????? You mus have put on a lot in the last few months!!!! Happy New Year
Love Lorna xx
Lorna, I have put on 10lbs since my operation in October. I suppose it is because I have not been so active.
Many of the sweeties/chocs have already been eaten. I don't leave them hanging around you know. ;D ;D
Brill pressies here but the surprise came from bro 2. He hinted that his gift to me was something I had over 50 years ago. I guessed at ballet shoes (wore them to bed for a week) green sparkly plastic mules with heel, dolls house stuff, lamp with wobbling fish in....all wrong, it was a copy of Tommy Steeles' Little White Bull on cd. It was the first record I ever bought. ;D
I also had Racing Grannies,a light up wine glass and '211 Things a Bright Girl Can Do' by Bunty Cutler. Very, very funny ;D ;D.
Lots of lovely other pressies too. ;)
Told you I'd get slippers! These from my eldest daughter, tho....very fetching!
