GOATS.
For the last few years I have not sent Christmas cards or bought gift wrap, I calculate the money saved on cards I would have bought and donate it to a charity, it was going to be seeds for Africa but I changed my mind and bought Goats!!
10 females and 1 lucky male for a village in Africa, they are delivered with their injections and food, they do of course breed , give milk and meat and the herds get bigger.
So a big thank you to the cards I have received from A4A ers,you helped me buy the goats.
If anyone is interested it costs just £40.
Merry Christmas to you all,
XX Jeannine
lovely thought, Jeannine, we're giving an allotment and seeds this year ;D
We did the same sort of thing at school with a collection from the children in Y6. We decided to buy a meal for 70 children and also bought one goat for a family. Your donation bought an awful lot more than ours Jeannine, which organisation did you go with?
Trust you, Jeannine!!
Oops, I gave the wrong impression, my donation contributed to the 11 goats, personally paid for 1.
It was from feedthe children they send them in packages of 11 and £40 pays for one.
Sorry for not explaining it well.
XX Jeannine
FANTASTIC! I've bought goats, allotments, school dinners, seeds, condoms, mosquito nets and ALL sorts this year for people (via Oxfam unwrapped!)
Hope you have a fantastic Christmas & New Year Jeannine ;)
Merry Christmas Trixie darling, you are one of the good things I found in 2007,love to the little sweetie too XX Jeannine
Well I'm afraid that this year i've sent the Xmas cards :-[ :-[ :-[ but I've also bought pigs for Nicaragua (our school charity this year). They raised over £1400 - not bad for a small school (300) in a deprived area. Had to send the cards though - Peter's last Christmas painting.
