Does anyone know where to get hold of the stuff? Apart from the massively overpriced 'Pre-Pac Paraffin' that is sold in the garden centres?
Does anyone still get it dispensed into cans? :-\
A supplier in South or West Yorks would be good. :)
The only suggestions I can make are a small independent ironmonger, or small independent garage/petrol station.
These are the types of places we have bought it from before 'on tap', much more reasonably priced than big DIY shops.
Sorry I can't be more helpful, but we are a bit too far south for you.

Coal merchant type place maybe?
Don't know if this is any cheaper than you have found, but they are slightly larger packs:

Mills on Womwell Robin straight opposite witherspoons. All the best
Mills? Never seen it. Will have a look tomorrow, I'll be going down there anyway.
Do they sell it prepacked, or 'from the tank'?
One of my local "Indian" corner shops still dispenses it on tap!
;D

Mills sells the pre-pac stuff, £4.50 for 4 litres.
They've got the same stuff at Lloyd's DIY in Thurnscoe for £4.35, and it's closer.
Would still prefer it on tap though.. :( ...the 'real' price for paraffin is about 50-55p/litre.
Have to get mesen some of that before the price goes back up.. :)
Thanks.
Unfortunately B & Q have none within 50 miles..........ne'er mind, eh? :)
got mine from Countrywide dont know whether you have them in your area or not, worth looking online for nearest store, hope this helps.
Have you got a oil - fuel merchant in your area, our local one sells parafin from a pump at half the price that you pay from the garden centers.
Read the label on the shop stuff...you get the suppliers name...cheeky, but I do it all the time.
Our local 'on tap' supplier stopped doing it. According to him, you have to have the new expensive type of tank that's used in petrol stations and it's not worth the expense which is why he doesn't sell it any more. For anyone within striking distance of Jct 26, Codnor Horticultural sell it in 20lt drims at a decent price.
