different view.... same Cathedral :)
I like the way it still dominates everything around it, as it was designed to.
Wow! I'm not religious, and unless the hand of G*d strikes me him/herself I never will be, but that site is one to behold! :D You're so lucky
They dont make them like that anymore.
The view from my plot is of a nature reserve by the side of a river, which in itself is very nice, but nowhere near as impressive as that
Your capture of that particular sky makes for one hell of a strong photo...well done. I like that a lot.
:) thanks for your lovely replies,
it's a fantastic building isn't it?
Ken, thanks a lot, the conditions were just right/ shades x
Don't take a Donkey ride to Damascus then Suzi !
;D
LOL @ Saddad! I'd really like to know what the whole religious experience thing is about but I just don't think I'm the right kind of person for it.
I still appreciate good works of art and architechture tho'!

Hi Suzi... I'm in the believer camp but have never had the personal/ immanent experience... bit of a let down really but look forward to the blinding light, might get lucky one day...
;D
Hmmph - I am on the lottie site closest to the Cathedral but can hardly see it above the trees. Do get to keep time to the bells though. Great picture Shades btw. :)
Am originally from Lincoln & parents/sister still live there. Went to the Xmas market @ the castle & took a ride on the large wheel up @ the castle just so I could take an evening photograph of the cathedral of it all lit up. It looks fantics agains the black night sky.
