Title: any spare positive vibes please
Post by: legless on July 02, 2004, 19:15:59
i've got a friend in need on another forum, her husband had mouth cancer and had a major op and radiotherapy and got the all clear but they found out today its come back. he has to have a lot of his jaw removed next saturday and reconstructed with bone from his leg and even then he only has a 5% chance. he's only 28, never smoked or anything.

so any spare positive stuff for kezia and her husband would be appreciated.....

she sent me an email and the bottom line was "make sure you let the people you love know how much they mean to you every day"

 :o :o
that's awful, legless, I shall certainly be send some sympathy and postive thoughts their way. Awful too when it doesn't make sense why, when as you say, 28 and never smoked, it just leaves you lost for words.
Lifes' nastiness is certainly unevenly distributed.
Even though I don't know them, please pass on my best wishes, and fingers crossed for the operation.
Kerry.

Oh that is just the worst thing I have heard for a long time. Cancer is a terrible thing - I recently lost my Father in Law to it.

On a positive note though - a close family member of mine had jaw reconstruction (for other reasons) and came through fine - you wouldn't even notice the work had been done.

Please pass on my best wishes, support and understanding. He is a young man so hopefully he will make a full and easy recovery.

Mahn I iz so sad to hear this.... and I am sending loads and loads of possitive vibes that way... really does make ya think and 5% is better than 4% and over twice as much as 2% so whilst there is hope, never give up ... I am now getting into full trancendental mode now and gonna send as much possitve energy as I can to Kezia and her husband....

So sorry to hear the news about your friend legless.  He is in my thoughts.  Life can seem so unfair, and sometimes it is hard to make sense of it.  You see people who don't take care of themselves and really abuse their body but live long and healthy lives and others who have never done a wrong thing and get all the nasty breaks.  Love and hope be with them.  busy_lizzie

Legless, that is so, so  sad. 28 is no age to be suffering in such a way.  We are sending all of our positive vibes to your friends.  What your friend said is so very true.  When dad died, I had no regrets, he always new how much we all loved him and how much he meant to us.  Legless, our thoughts are also with you at this worrying time.  :'(
