Title: spring brassicas
Post by: Sparkly on November 11, 2007, 16:11:32
I have thinned out my spring brassicas and they are looking really good. Would mulching around them with straw be a good idea or not?

Hi Sparkly,
Not having had to mulch anything yet, I googled for you and found this info link for you. It would be best to read the pro's and con's and decide for yourself.

I wouldn't!! they are perfectly hardy.

By doing so you might only be creating a habitat for slugs, snails and mice who would love to have some greens in their front room during the cold winter months ::)
