i pride myself on our site as been very helpful to anyone who needs an hand or is more fragile than
i am i am forever lifting heavy items for the old guys and girls and i help run to allotment shop on a sunday .
now i dont ask for any sort of recognition for any of this at all but now some lowlife has pinched my bike from inside my garden whilst i was there i must add so now i have to walk the two miles there and back twice a day i have to go twice as i keep hens to open and to lock up at night , im gutted to tell the truth i have put adds on freecycle to see if i can scrounge a bike but if i can not then i dont think ill keep going
oh well such is life
Its a shame to hear about your bike but I wouldn't let these skum bags drive you of the allotment.
I felt so sad to read your post Slyfox. There really are some awful people in this world. I hope someone on Freecycle - where there are some really lovely people - will come to your aid. Don't give up. Have you asked around on the allotments in case someone there could help you out?

No defeat, No surrender! Don't do it...... :-\
I hope you can getanother bike cos giving up your lottie due to a thief would be a terrible shame ((((hug)))) its sad to think you have to lock everything up every where but thats a sad fact about society today !
Try contacting the police to see if you can buy one of their unclaimed lost property bikes. They sell them for next to nothing.
Don't give up!
Maybe you could tell your local paper and see if they will do an article on what happened. Some kind sole may give you their unwanted bike- or yours may reappear!
Oh Sly fox,
I do understand how you must feel. Its so disheartening after all you do for others for one idiot to do this to you.
I imagine you have told your neighbours what happened, I also imagine that they will keep an eye out for a bike for you. I would say to you dont give up......you obviously love what you do, and the chooks need you (you need them too).
What goes around - comes around. The person who stole your bike will have his/her comeupance. Tell yourself you deserve better than this. A bike will come to you.
The local paper is a good idea..........best of luck Slyfox,
Star xx
What a pain! I'm sure you'll get another bike and soon be up and running again!
I've got one I don't use, but Middlesborough is a long way to go...
Sure there must be loads of people with unsed bikes...
:-\
I have one too that i will gladly pass on, but we are in Cheshire which i guess is of no use?
Hi
Sorry to hear about this, but don't give up. I don't have a bike I can give you but if you do manage to get another I have a spare cycle lock you can have. You can then lock it up to prevent anyone else stealing it. If you want it PM me your address and I will put it in the post for you.
sorry to hear about your bike, slyfox..hope there's someone on here with a spare bike they can give you, my bike riding days are long gone :( :)
Sorry to read your sad news Slyfox. It had to have been taken by someone who lives close by to the allotments. Have you looked around the hedges etc?
I wish I had a bike I could give you.
Please don't give up, like someone mentioned the Chooks need you.
What size and style of bike do you need, SF Mal? My cycling-mad family may be able to help.
hi every body firstly id like to say thanks to every single person who read this post and a big thanks for all your kind words of encouragement
i have decided im not packing in and im going to continue my plot and still help out where i can on my site.
i have put the word out that im looking for a bike around the site and maybe some one may have an old one i can use until i can afford a replacement
and who knows what santa may bring :)
so thanks again kindest regards mal
Slyfox...That's the spirit...don't let them take away what you love doing. Everybody on your site NEEDS YOU. :)
Good luck to you.
Yay Slyfox...........!! ;D ;D
I knew you were made of sterner stuff ;)
Something will turn up, sooner than later I suspect, your friends and neighbours love and respect you by the sound of it.......you wont be without for long.
Your chooks can breathe easy again ;) :D
I thought Tin Can's idea of contacting the police for unclaimed bikes was good. My husband found a bike and reported it, and after 6 months they gave it back to him as no-one claimed it. I've just given a spare bike to a friend who had hers vandalised. My usual one was stolen for joy riding a couple of years ago, then thrown aside, and someone spotted it and brought it back to me (and it was originally given to me by a friend who gave up cycling).
Bikes are 2 a penny if you're not looking for a new one. Very best of luck in finding a reasonable one.
try on here they sell all the stuff the police recover by auction
http://www.bumblebeeauctions.co.uk/XcAuctionPro.asp
however its not working at the mo but thats the site name anyway they sell off some pretty amazing stuff :o
edited to say it is now
Awww
Hope they get a puncture!
Shame you are a guy and live the other end of the country - as I have a ladies bike needing a good home!
I'm down in Kent if anyone else is interested? - It's free! - but you'll need to collect!

Good for you don't give up any thing because then the thief will of won and why should you lose out on something you enjoy because of some low life.
i had my bike stolen from my back garden :'( so i know how you feel. i used mine to get to work on i start work at 5.30 so i depended on it but i had to buy a new one asap and now lock it every time i leave it any where sad world ain't it.
