I'd like to grow a variety of spuds next year but just a few of each because we don't have a lot of space. So far the suppliers I've looked at seem to sell in minimum 1 kg bags.
Does anyone know an online supplier who sells in smaller quantities - 500g would be ok?
I know in dependant garden centres sell them loose in big sacks and you can buy as many as you wish. Even try local pet/garden shops too.
Ok I'll just add the link for Edwin Tuckers, a company not far from me that most of my allotment neighbours use.
They seem to sell quite a few varieties in smallish weights.

Can`t help but this is one of the things I still miss about not having allotments-being able to buy several varieties and then sharing(and the cost) a few tubers with others

Lauren, thanks for suggesting Tucker's, hadn't thought of them for spuds and they do have lots of interesting varieties, such as Roseval, but the minimum quantity seems to be 1.5kg. So far Alan Roman's is winning with a minimum of 1kg.

hi thompsan & morgan do different packs for kitchen gardens where you can buy 10 or 20 different variety ,and they mix early and late ; slug resistent , blight resistant etc. worth a look at there web site' Bit more expensive than the garden centres but gives you a chance to buy and try
I remember seeing Wyevale doing smaller bags I know Pink Fur Apple was one and also international kidney and a couple of others.
Loose ones can be found in many garden centres so you can choose which ones you want. They are usually sold with paper bags so just remember to take a pen with you so you can mark the bags with each type. There are usually notes beside them showing if they are resistant to scab, blight etc.
They may work out a little more expensive than ordering bulk through catalogues but you can pick out the best ones and those of the right size. I have heard they should be the size of a hen's egg but i stand to be corrected if I am wrong. ;D
Our lottie shop sells spuds in 3kg bags.They also allow you to purchase individual tubers too. Is there a lottie shop near you perhaps

Many garden centres and nurseries hold 'Potato Days' around January-February time, usually over a weekend.
I googled to find any held in London - there was one this year in Dulwich, on Sunday 28th January. I found out about it on this site:

Looks as if the Dulwich potato day is going to be on 27th Jan this season and I might be able to get there. The list has nearly all the varieties I'm after so obviously my choices aren't that obscure!
PS I should have looked more closely at Bedrockdave's suggestion of T&M. underneath the collections are individual varieties in packs of 5. Not great value, but as a one off for this year I may pick up a few.
