Following on from Gardengirl's "Who says summer's over", here are some pics I took yesterday in my garden. I have 21 different species in flower at the moment so this is just a selection of some of them.
The weather is more like September than November but hey....who's complaining! ;D
Lovely, Pauline. ;D
Yes, it's amazing isn't it? Apart from stuff that is supposed to be out such as Ivy, Schizostylis, Pansies and Cyclamen, I've still got Fuchsias, Rosemary, Sage, Nasturiums, Pelagoniums, Silene, Ox-eye Daisies and Verbena Bonariensis still in flower.

Lorna, many of them are summer bedding that are still in flower. Most face to the east, have the protection of the house wall and I have put a good layer of purple slate on the beds to suppress weeds and maybe it helps keep them warm.
Although I live on the edge of Salisbury Plain where it can be very cold, I think you are in one of the coldest areas of the UK. :-\
What beautiful pictures, amazing what's still in flower.
At work they uprooted loads of pink geraniums the other day to put in pansies, and they threw them all away! They were full of flowers still, wouldn't have minded a few ::)
Just in from a bit of pottering. In addition to the things I mentioned last week I have two flowers on the Passiflora; lots of primroses; quite a few Forsythia and Jasmine flowers; Pineapple Sage in bud and showing colour; dwarf Iris, Snowdrops, Aconites and Dicentra peeping through; and outdoor Toms in flower. It's madness. ;D

Beautiful photos Pauline :) Is that an iris I see still blooming....amazing :D
Its incredible isn't it, my fuchsias are still going strong and the large begonias, although I think I should get the rest of them in the warm now as the nights are getting very cold. Still have a couple of flowers on my Nelly Moser clematis.
