I layed woodchips down on my two main paths and now toadstools are sprouting up everywhere :'( do I pull em up bag and burn. ??? ??? ??? ;D ;D ;D
I would just leave them but watch out in case they are morels. Morels normally come out about Apr-May and are often found in woodchip and are highly regarded as a gourmet thing.

We get loads of different shrooms in our woodchip too, they are not edible to my knowledge I dont think I want to try them either, as my doggies pee on it :-\
But it would be nice to see morels appearing. I take special notice in springtime :)
Leave them, they are not doing any harm, its nature at work....
Doesn't look like either of them, suppose I'll let them be. ??? ;D ;D ;D
Evening all, i found 2 or 3 of exactly the same mushroom that you posted Angle Shades, do you know what they are??
I think they are just part of the decomposing of the woodchip, you get different fungi depending on the type of wood in the chip.
Last year we had a lot of, what looked like a form of inkcap, they were on a conifer based chip. This year is more broadleaved stuff and looks like small fairy ring 'shrooms.
I was told that I had magic mushrooms last year too :o
Our woodchip comes from conker trees. ;D ;D ;D
