Title: Old Fashioned Corn
Post by: saddad on October 28, 2007, 14:42:36
From seeds acquired through swaps... grown for our open day but they weren't ripe for display!

Yes but they are not "sweet corn" best for popcorn, corn flour and grits/hominy which are porridge type dishes like bulgar cracked wheat and couscus...
I just grew them for show... they have gone mouldy in the kitchen while I was in France!

I grew some like that once, and eating them was hard work.

They look absolutely gorgeous, though.

I could save some for seed but there is no saying what I would get as Sweetcorn cross pollinates easily!
