Title: I used my own compost for the first time.
Post by: dtw on October 25, 2007, 17:09:07
I just re-potted my two year old Bolivian rainbow chilli into a large china pot I bought in the sale.
I used my own compost, but had to sieve it, as there were quite a few woody stems and teabags which hadn't rotted completely. They'll go back into the top of the dalek.
I have brought it indoors for the winter, as it may flower twice, like it did last year.

Yes.

They go through a few colour changes whilst ripening, green, purple, yellow, orange and finally red.

I've got a couple of these on the go too dtw.  Thanks for the info about the colour changes - I was wondering when they would get to red.  I have all purple and one yellow on one plant at the moment and the other has only creamy coloured chillis.  I'm sure my ones are Twilight.
