Title: Bean Trench

Going to dig a bean trench this weekend , about how deep & anything you wouldn`t put in it? or any useful tips

I usually do a spit and a half... put muck in it but anything that will hold moisture, if you have light soil.. we have heavy clay but they still like a bit of pampering!

I'm stredding and saving all my junk mail to add to the bottom of my bean trench. I think I read on here that it helps to hold onto moisture/water

One spade deep, shredded paper, manure and as many veg peelings you can get your hands on, I get my Dad to save his for me, I don't think I dug it this early though.  ;D ;D ;D

I thought I would crack on while the weather is good and I could put a lot of stuff in to rot down over winter. thanks for the tips
