Title: Mint roots anyone
Post by: Jitterbug on October 14, 2007, 17:37:20
I was on the lottie yesterday clearing up and when I tried to move my contained Mint (or so I thought) I found that it had made a mad dash for freedom and to rule the entire lottie (thanks goodness I had put them in pots).  I have tons of roots and runners if anyone would like any let me know and I will pop some in the mail. But be warned it comes from stock that wants to rule. ;D ;D

Next year I will put the mint into a much bigger pot around the cabbage patch and watch it closely for any attempts at running wild again.

Hi Jitterbug, I came across an old water tank on freecycle and have put all of my mint in that. There's only one possible escape route and that's about an inch above the ground - secateurs at the ready!  ;D

Hi,
I would like some mint if you still have some to spare.    Is there anything you would like as a swap?

Hi Guys

To everyone who has asked for roots please do not worry I have not forgot about you all.  I am unfortunately holed up with a frozen shoulder which is quite painful but will get around to it when I feel a bit better.  Even if I have to wait until the Spring.  I have apple / normal and I think pineapple.  Will send a piece of each and try to remeber to clearly mark it.
Thanks

Ouch! Poor you Jitterbug - hope you're being sensible - ie. making everyone else run around looking after you - it's what families are for  ;D ;D

Pineapple mint sounds  very exotic - don't think I've heard of it - will go and look it up ...

Guys I have not forgotten everyone - I have just not got out there to do some digging. :-[ :-[ The shoulder keeps playing up so don't want to aggrevate it too much.  Just got the operation date - 8th Jan and that's on the urgent list - sure would hate to see the non-urgent list.  ??? I have been on the waiting list since beginning of September :o :o Good old NHS ::)

I have the stamps - envelopes and empty toilet rolls ready and waiting - we might have to wait until the spring - but I have everyone's addresses so fear not. ;D

Hi
Have you seen a chiropractor. I find they are excelant. The doctor was setting  me up for an injection in my wrist bone and if not successful possible surgery for carpel tunnel. I see a chiropractor for a seized and slightly twisted spine (another story), he looked at it, said oh that's not carpel tunnel, did some massaging and adjustments and within two weeks my arm that could not lift a teapot higher than shoulder height and all the pins and needles had gone. Just thought I would mention it.
