I'm still taking cuttings from my geraniums, I just take off the small offshoots, peel off some of the bottom leaves and any flower buds and pop it in some compost mixed with vermiculite..
all 25 have taken so far, just gotta make sure they don't die in the damp ;D

is it that easy then?cos i'm useless at taking cuttings.... :(
Ive taken lots of geranium cuttings, mostly of the very showy zonal kind, in exactly the manner described. Keep them out of strong sunlight and with a just damp compost tho till roots get established. I use 2 inch modules (so I can take loads) but 6 in a large pot is fine. When they are growing steadily, pot each one individually into 3 or even5 inch pots and grow them on indoors over the winter. They are frost tender, so even indoors on a windowsill is OK.
The vermiculite tho not esential helps to retain moisture without overwatering.
A word of warning, you will inevitably lose some - put it down to experience.

just hope i can grow them like this they really shot up in the 3"pots so i'm going to put them into window boxes like thes ones ;D
