Title: Sweetcorn loving pigeons
Post by: Pigletwillie on October 06, 2007, 19:30:15
Due to mice eating my first two sowings my sweetcorn is really late harvesting. Normally its in the freezer in August.

I went to the plot today and found a few cobs around the edge of the block of corn scoffed by ruddy pigeons. They must stand on them and munch away.

Just look at whats left.

Thanks for that, by coincidence I saw another plotholder using 2 litre milk bottles for the same thing.

Hopefully as its a one off that my corn is so late I wont need to bother next year but will now know how to counter the problem.
