Anyone know what the small blue flower is ? Its about 6" tall and has 4 pure blue petals with a white centre.
(ignore the needle like leaves and the red berries of the asparagus.)

Looks like lobelia to me??? Maybe you had some seeds in your compost?
Yup, I agree with Caroline, lobelia.
Great name, by the way, Caroline ;)
cj :)
very pretty though
Quotevery pretty though
I agree. I may be a bit on the old fashioned side, but I think every hanging basket needs a bit of trailling lobelia. ;D

I think the lobelia adds something to the asparagus, welcome to the site, magic ;D
Welcome from me as well, nice ground cover you have there! Better than my Speedwell and Scarlet Pimpernel...
;D
I have self sown Lobelia growing among my parsnips, pretty things.
Magic welcome from me too.
I also have lobelia in little places through the garden. I don't know where it has come from. The little splashes of blue looks really nice. I just leave it do it's thing.
Lauren :)
