Drooling over the latest Plants of Distinction catalogue, spotted this -
Salsola Okahijaki - a culinary herb very rich in vitamins and minerals and reminiscent of samphire, that elusive plant harvested on the mud flats of East Anglia. Crunchy stems which need to be eaten either very young either raw or steamed.
Love samphire and might try this. Has anyone else grown it before?
No, but I've bought some from the Leaf Garden on Ebay!

Somebody kindly sent me some seeds but I forgot to plant them!!
:-[
this is the same as L'agretto - taste can be mild or if left quite strong but it is lovely in stir fry or frittatas or whatever you want - I tend to grow it in tubs or trays rather than in situ
Right, that's on the shopping list then!!!!!!
