Samantha, how many times have i been to Italy, why did you not ask, tut, tut,
You leave off the g & say it like chi chi, now go on practice noc chi, that is how our Italian waiter had the patience to teach me how to pronounce it. ;D ;D ::)

Spot on-but splurr the knyee into the O as in Okra.
I'll go along with the Italian waiter - when in Rome, eh?
I'll go along with both! - brain finally kicked in ...."gnocchi" is pronounced as per 'hound,'bean and cleo.....however Bud's pronunciation, given to her by her waiter, is the pronunciation of the Italian word for "nuts" = noci ....gnocchi look like nuts so my thinking is that the waiter told Buds the local word used for gnocchi....
Makes sense to me 8)
