So we flew from East Midlands-staff were from Eastern Europe. We get to Italy-hotel staff from what was yugoslavia, find a great eating hole-the very sweet waitress was from Poland.
Go up into a small town in the hills of Southern Italy to find a restaurant that had basil growing from a woody stem-and I do mean woody like sage at two/ three years.
So I ask when it was planted and how did they keep it-the staff were Eastern European and their Italian was about as good as in English-ah basil-we plant in the spring.
I`ve never seen basil as a perennial-shame I went to Italy only knowing how to speak Italian ???
Come to Alton Towers, you will be able to brush up on your eastern european languages. They have supplanted the local indiginous population for jobs, ie, the company has dropped the hourly rate in order to employ immigrants (illegal or otherwise).

Hi Rosebud-we were in Palinuro on the Cilento coast-stunning scenery and about as far South on that coast as the tourist industry goes.

We have been in the Lake District this weekend. At the Hotel we stayed all the Waiting staff were mid european. They are all good at english and they are so smart and efficient. Each girl I saw walked like she was a model and very attractive girls. Pity about our Hotel, big disappointment.
