Hi Guys,
Just read this on the BBC http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/uk/7010172.stm
"The Met Office confirmed that a squall hit Northampton, where falling branches damaged an empty school bus.
It also said that a violent storm damaged gardens and homes in Luton, Bedfordshire. Part of a factory roof was blown off in Breaston, Derbyshire.
Also affected were Farnborough, Hants, and Nuneaton, Warks. Similar conditions were reported in Ollerton, Notts."
Anyone here experiance any damage?
Camboune7
No damage here.Im about 5 miles from Breaston.
The wind and rain was horrendous earlier this morning though and it woke the whole house battering against the windows.
Oh NO!!! more misery for some people. Hasn't it been the strangest of years so far? It's a wonder anyone has grown anything at all.
You can bet your bottom dollar retailers are going to use that old worn out excuse that the weather is to blame for more high prices.
I'm simply not going to buy stuff. See how much I can save instead. ::)
Lauren :)
Not in tornado area but we had a very violent squally storm this morning & when I visited my lottie tonite a large piece of carpet from my neighbours was squashing my leeks! The wind must have been very strong I couldn't manage to lift it myself :o
eak GD thats weird!!
I am feeling very lucky that i managed to put the winter props up on my shed this weekend, we did not have a tornado just that qually weather. We managed to get the window closed as it hit !!
I'm in Nottingham and we did get some very strong winds but from going round our site it seems the taller veg was blown over and the metal sheds suffered.
