Title: Stonehead.

A solid cabbage, but with a strong taste. Needs a dressing if eaten raw.

Do you not peel and eat the stem Tim?  When I was stood at granny's elbow as she was preparing cabbage, that was my treat!

I think it would probably be the equivalent of kohl rabbi, nowadays, but delicious.

It beats raw carrot anyday.
