Harvested sweetcorn, carrots, runners and spring onions this evening, thats dinner neary sorted tomorrow, now where can I find a fresh lamb. ;D ;D ;D
dunno, ck..when you find how to grow them, let me know ;D
Growing them isn't difficult but getting them table ready is a pain!
:-X
I harvested a few cobs to go with my haddock tonight.
I was absolutely stunned by the difference in these from shop bought corn!! I know you are all sitting there thinking "well duh!!" but this was my first time and although they were small they were probably the best thing I've had since I tried real peas for the first time a few weeks ago!!
I'll never go back to shop bought again!
Try picking one straight off the plant and eating it raw....it will amaze you!
Can't manage a lamb but I keep goats on my lotty.
I worked out how many sweetcorn I was going to eat as only the nine year old eats them and she would only eat the odd three or four, now the OH half who for nearly forty years hated sweetcorn, has got the taste for my cobs and she's eating them like they've gone out of fashion, so them the two year old just so she wouldn't miss out has got in on the act :'( now I'm going to have to have another recount. :( :'( :-\ ;D ;D ;D
It's been my lunch on the plot for last couple of weekends followed by raspberries for dessert, of course, just need to find a starter ;D
