Title: grapevine

hello
ok still new to this but doign well so far, this will be the first time i need to protect my plants against any frost that giving the britsih weather we will get, most of all i am worried about my grapevine. its been gowing well since i planted it but dont want to loose it over the winter, please, what is the best way to protect it???

thank you in advance for advise

it has no protection on any side

it largely depends on your location and the variety as many are quite hardy - if you are growing it against a shed or a wall for example this will offer some extra protection but if up a trellis then fleece should be ok, or double fleece if the winter proves to be a very cold one

Haven't had to protect mine (Regent) yet in nearly five years...

thank you very much, Calendula - i was thinking the fleece would be ok so i was heading in the right direction, Saddad - you are lucky but with my luck the thing would die  :( how many years did yours grow before it flowered ?

Only over the first winter... it flowered in it's first proper summer...
