Had just seen off the 9 family & friends that we cooked for over the w/e, when a dear neighbour brought in 30 lbs of these.............!!
NOT Victorias - so what??
if they stay that colour I would say a gage - possibly cambridge, early transparent or oullins but a bit late for oullins now
look very nice
Merton Gage or Warwickshire drooper?
You can rule out Oullins Golden Gage, as it is really golden, and even in Glasgow they were finished in August.
Fascinating bit of research - I'm going for the Drooper - http://www.keepers-nursery.co.uk/warwickshire_drooper_variety.aspx
Pershore was a possibility, but too late for that also.
