my sister in law has given me some smoked garlic, I love the idea of it but hate the smell and always end up chucking it out as it smells like there is a bonfire in the kitchen :D
does anyone have any good ways to use it? I'm normally pretty good with ideas in the kitchen but clueless on this one ???
If you can't stand the smell - mail it to me & I'll pay the postage! DON'T waste it!!

http://www.thegarlicfarm.co.uk/garlicrec.asp & elsewhere??
great link thanks tim!
I had (rather foolishly) not thought of making some garlic bread with it, the garlic mash sounds great too, and the smoked garlic toast.... mmmmmmmm.. off to the shops now!
thanks for the link Tim!
When i was in Thailand of all places, we went to an Italian restaurant and one of the things they did was to put a whole clove of garlic with the top cut off in a small bowl and roast it, then with fresh bread you just squashed the garlic out and smeared it on the bread, it was wonderful! I now do this when we have supper parties, it is great socially, everyone just digs in and enjoys it.
A whole bulb.Tilts? Yes, indeed!!
I normally get mine from the French market when they come to town and cannot wait to eat it all up. They have however got clever and now sell them by the string and not seperately.
I find it just adds a smoky flavour to the dishes it is used in.
Jitterbug
Trouble is, she hates the smell of it!!
