Title: Blackberry jam sans sugar

Any ideas for making diet blackberry jam?
Can I replce the sugar with sweatener, if so then which sweatener is best?

Sorry Si D, but you cannot make jam without sugar.  Sugar is the preservative that keeps the fruit.

There are recipes for reduced sugar jams, but they don't keep so well.

Personally, I would prefer to make jam with pure cane sugar, and not use chemical additives.

When you think about it, you don't use much jam, ie on toast, so it wouldn't be that fattening.

As I said,  I would prefer the old sugar recipes, rather than use chemical sweeteners.

Just  personal choice.
