Title: New Starter
Post by: mysterio_3d on September 15, 2007, 09:29:34
I've just finished digging out my first bed, and as the kids are trying to help out wanted to get some things planted in the next few weeks.
What can I plant out during September / October apart from Garlic?

Loving the digging - so far!

Thanks

Over wintering onion sets... available now in GC's and places like Wilkos are a rewarding first crop and the kids can put them in to keep them interested. Som of the places like homebase have trays of winter brassicas at £3 but remember to net them or the pigeons will strip them when it turns cold...
Welcome to the site. Can you post some pics of the plot as we are a very nosey lot!!!
;D

I think you can plant spring cabbage plants also right now.
