Check with a metal supplier I bought lengths of flat iron roughly 1" wide x 1/8" thick and bend it to suit the widths of my beds. Far cheaper than buying purpose made hoops and they are long lasting.

I use blue water pipe. It costs about £12 for 25 metres from a plumbers merchant. Not only does it make hoops for small crops but placed on top of canes it makes a frame for taller plants too.

One of the things I cleared from my lottie when I first got it was loads of lengths of white plastic curtain rail - you know, the seriously cheapo stuff that comes on a roll at Allied Carpets for 29P a metre. Didn't realise what it was for till recently.   :D
