Title: The Stakes are too high!

£3 for a tree stake at Wyevales! Travis Perkins haven't got, nor B&Q nor Homebase...

Anyone know where is a good (cheap) place to acquire such an item (or 15 in fact). The round ones, not the flimsy square ones please...

Is a tree stake a very specific item Ollie? I don't know what sort of dimensions you are after  but I recently bought some fence posts from a local agricultural merchant. 6ft long and classed as three inch diameter, although being merely de-barked and de-twigged tree branches, it's hard to be accurate about diameters. Less than a quid each delivered. Longer ones are available apparently.

Geoff.

The cheapest I know of is the BTCV Online Shop less than £1 each but they charge a lot for delivery.

Can't beat a saw mill for that kind of thing - no middle men.
