Title: poppy sap
Post by: Shirley on June 23, 2004, 19:12:26
Anyone got any ideas on how to remove the black marks left on tee shirt from the poppy sap.  Didn't come off in the normal wash

I guess you could try fairy liquid first - that tends to remove almost anything. Rub a bit into the stain and then wash it as normal. I don't actually know that it will work though. Good luck!

you could try WD40 if it is an oily stain or that orange cleaning spray stuff from the £ shop or fairy let it soak in and rub
in well
hope this helps

I have a solid bar of vanish. Rub it into the stain then wash. It removes most stains

Sorry, I did not get back sooner, the Vanish worked after a fashion, stains are slowly fading - thanks for the advice.  That'll teach me to get changed into old togs before tackling them next year!
