I have 3 poblano meek and mild chilli plants. There are several chillis on each, but they dont seem to be growing bigger than a broad bean. They have been like that for weeks. Am I just being impatient, or is that as big as they will get. The packet suggested I would be able to stuff them, but it hardly seems worth the effort if I can only fit about 3 grains of rice in ???
Any ideas?
Thanks

Ours are very late & static this year - but there's still hope!

Hi CarolineJ, in what size pot have you got them?
Like Tim and many others, my chillies have have been very slow this year but it may be that your Ancho is in too small a pot.
One is in a black bucket, one is in an 8 inch pot (as I was told they would crop earlier in a smaller pot.....wrong!), and one is directly in the greenhouse soil.

Then that's not the problem!
I think it's probably just that the average temperature / sunshine quotient has been lower than last year when the weather made chilli growing seem easy!
Don't despair - there's still time for them to come right.
PS Sorry for another obvious question but you have been giving them a little liquid feed every so often?
Earlier in a small pot? Yes - because they think they're dying!! But only a few fruit.
Yes I have been feeding them.

Good girl!
Gee, thanks ;D A girl can only do her best ::)
