Hi
In the spring/early summer we planted some asiatic lilies in the front garden border, and they flowered beautifully ;D
Now they're dying off and the leaves & stems have gone brown & dry. I really don't want to have to dig them up & store them somewhere over the winter, so i'm wondering what, if anything, we should do? ???
Any advice gratefully appreciated, thanks x
Lily bulbs should not be dug up and stored, they go very soft. Leave them in the ground or in the pots. They are perfectly hardy and will appear next year. After 2-3 years they may become congested and you will have to dig them up, thin out and replant as soon as possible.
Ok, thanks toadspawn, that's reassuring! ;D I really didn't want to have to dig them up already. ;) ;D
