Title: Seed saving - Asparagus peas
Post by: alipally on September 03, 2007, 21:55:13
Does anyone know how to save seeds from asparagus peas? I can't find them in any books I have.  Also can they cross pollinate with other peas?  Many thanks,
Alison

The ones I saved last year came true this year, I just left them on the plants to get BIG then took them off and dried them on my kitchen windowsill.

Give it a go !!

They are not related to very much else we grow so should come true!

Many thanks, i'll try it.  I didn't like them at first but I was picking them too large and over-cooking them.  Now I pick them about 1" long and lightly steam them before adding butter and pepper and they 'have grown on me'.
Cheers,
Ali
