Title: Anyone a Plasterer?
Post by: Doris_Pinks on August 31, 2007, 14:15:37
Need some plastering advice ;D
We have a stone fire surround on our open fire. I would like to modernise it without ripping it out, so was thinking, could it be plastered over, or would that make it a huge fire risk?

Thanks

I'm no plasterer, but good at getting plastered!!!
If you use plaster then no it isn't a risk, but Plasterboard might be... get someone to do it for you though as plastering is a nightmare ...

I have plastered before.....and been plastered before............didn't do too bad a job either....but thinks me needs to bring in the professionals for a really smooth finish.
Thanks saddad, will call a man that can!
